Princeton TecApex Headlamp

The brightest star in the Princeton Tec lineup, the Apex blasts 275 lumens of light out to 400 feet! Powerful and waterproof, this is the headlamp for the outdoor person who wants the maximum in performance and value. The 3-watt Maxbright LED is in a collimator housing that tightly focuses the beam for maximum distance. High and Low settings let you pick the distance. Four Ultrabright LEDs cast a wider beam for area lighting and give you High, Low and Flash settings with a separate switch. LEDs operate at much lower temperatures than traditional incandescent bulbs, but still generate heat. If this heat is not dissipated, the LED will suffer irreversible damage. Princeton Tec's proprietary heatsink technology allows the LEDs to burn brighter and longer. The separate battery case holds 4 AA alkaline batteries (included). The Apex is also compatible with lithium and rechargeable batteries. The Apex is waterproof to a 10 foot depth, making it perfect for watersports activities. The stretchy head band is fully adjustable and the lamp housing tilts to shine light right where you need it. The battery power meter keeps you informed of the remaining battery charge, so you don't get surprised by a power failure.
